"We're Here to Help"

I know Im not the only one obsessed with this show lol. As a paranormal skeptic (in my case meaning that I *completely* believe in the paranormal, but Im very skeptical of stories, photographs, sounds, etc all claiming to be proof of something paranormal. 90% its not), its the only ghost show I believe. Their method of assuming everything has a normal explanation and their efforts to debunk everything leave me in awe. Most of the time, they review their data collected over the night just to tell the homeowners they found nothing. I really appreciate the honesty and that TAPS isnt willing to give that up.

Not to mention, the founders, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, are men who put their family first. Multiple times Syfy asked if they would consider making TAPS a tv show, and multiple time they refused. Finally they agreed and here we are now. So what would they have to gain by being dishonest with their fans by turning it into... oh, I dont know, Destination Truth (where they just so happen to find something in every episode)? I think theyd rather lose the show completely than lie.

Here are a few of the strangest things theyve ever found on the show. One of my favorite episodes is the one at St. Augustine Lighthouse which starts at 6:09. My other favorite (which I didnt see on this compilation sadly, unless I skipped past it) is the Stanley Hotel. Oh man... that one is absolutely intense. The evidence caught there was impressive enough to make them go back several time. Check it out on Youtube if you havent seen it!

Updateness

Hope everyone had a great Halloween (and Samhain to those who celebrate it :))! Ive been in Burbank with my boyfriend who's been keeping me pretty bust, so sorry about the lack of posts.

I found this AWESOME (and cheap. Gotta love cheap) idea that Id love to borrow for some Christmas presents.

Thank you, Ruffles and Stuff!!!!

It may not be creepy, per se, but it would certainly add a nice touch to any room. To me, theres something a little gothic-esque about really old books anyway.

Easy Peasy

What does "peasy" mean anyway? :P

I found a couple of projects that I would love to make. They look pretty simple and could definitely be last minute Halloween crafts

How cool are these?!?! Im 19 years old and I would loooove to get one of these as a party favor or in my trick or treat candy bag. Im sure little kids would adore them as well as older adults. I have never seen poppers that were for any other occasion besides Christmas so I was very excited by these XD Found HEEERE

Empty cans, a nail, and a hammer? For once, I wouldnt need to buy *any* of the materials making this an easy and pretty much free Halloween craft (from this site). I dont have spray paint but I do have acrylic. Whether or not you used paint, I think it would look nice. Even if you didnt put a candle inside or use the wire, it would still be cute yet spooky decor.

If I make these, Ill definitely post some pics. And if anyone reading this blog makes any of these crafts, go ahead and let me know!!

Coffins Galore

Oh, how I wish I had this in my home. This lovely coffin couch is from Coffin Couches and if you check it out youll probably notice the price. Being unemployed means I can only dream :P If only I could figure out how to make my own... hmmm

This site says that they use coffins that have been thrown away by funeral parlors. All I have to do is wait outside a funeral parlor and eventually Ill get my own coffin? Its tempting xD

These coffin candy boxes from All You look like they would be a lot of fun to make (I also recommend checking out the other 27 Halloween craft ideas they have. There are some wonderful ideas). My only problem would be not knowing where to get coffin-shaped boxes. Thats when i found this page from Martha Stewart that links to paper coffin box templates.

Now this is something Ive wanted for YEARS!! And thanks to another tutorial from Martha Stewart it doesnt seem too far out of reach. Id keep it out all year though :)

Crop Circles

Ugh. Ive been BAD. I started this blog and I forgot about it >_< Im not used to keeping one of these, but Ill get better at updating it. I promise :3

As a huuuuge alien lover, Ive considered getting a crop circle tattoo. Here are some I think would look pretty awesome.

I think Im leaning towards the first or second one.

What do you guys think?

My Uncle's Haunted House

The skulls of helpless victims XD

Every headstone has a witty saying or names the person who supposedly died there (Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, "Here Lies an Atheist, All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go" lol). In that left window is a drum playing skeleton. My uncle is a drummer so he'll sneak into the room on Halloween, get behind the skeleton and black fabric hanging down so you cant see him, and play... but its so surreal. You dont see him at all, all you see is this skeleton rocking out, bowing to his audience, its great.

Everything in his yard are props he made himself. The crypt is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I wish I had thought of taking a video of it. The spirit is actually moving so it looks creepily real.

The coffin also moves. The lid opens and closes as this handsome fellow greets you.

The yard is a cemetery, and in front of a cemetery of course you need a spooky, gothic looking gate.

The trees look a little Lord of the Rings-esque and I ADORE them. I also like the little touch of that monster creeping over the side of the fence.

I want this sign in my yard lol
